Twitter gets court victory in Turkey but ban not lifted

The ban of twitter sends signals about the ethical behaviors of telecommunications in the society and their social responsibility. Twitter Company is blamed for instigating and propagating negative attributions towards the government. The government goes ahead to blame twitter for releasing three articles that attacked and criticized the government. It is unethical from the government’ side to run down a business in the name of protecting its activities, this is because communication mediums have rights to convey the necessary information if it is founded on a truthful background. To add more pain to the injury, the government demanded for the closure of the three accounts that were connected with the tweets, however, twitter objected the move citing freedom of expression in the media (Guynn, 1).

To counteract the government’s move twitter resorted to go to court in an attempt to restore its services in the country, it is a fight skewed towards business rights. Although the ban is not lifted twitter scores a major victory against censorship. Besides twitters role, there is a composition of third parties who feel that the government was on the wrong when coming up with the ban against twitter. Activists, journalists and legal experts are recorded challenging the ban through legal stipulations. The same government is on a trail to hamper performance of some of the vital communication mediums in the country. For instance there are sources that claim, the government closed down YouTube in the country. This can be depicted as a move by the government to paralyses communication, since without communication no activism will mushroom in the country; however, it will be immensely project the negative motives of the government towards its citizens (Guynn, 1).
