Effective Communication

Motivation in the workplace is important to all employees and their managers. Motivations will help the employees morale and will lead to a successful business.  All companies have different ways to motivate their employees but they all have the same thing in common and that is work satisfaction.  Some motivation techniques include: treating employees fairly, getting to know your employees, and having a reward system.

Motivate Staff

    Managers will have to treat all their employees fairly and not play favorites. Some employees choose to work at a place because of their interest and others because of mutual friends that are already working there. Larger companies will have company sports team to help employees get to know their fellow coworkers. Sporting activities also teach employees about teamwork and this also is a moral for the employees. Setting goals for employees will help reach company goals and also individual goals.  When setting goals for employees it is important to be specific in the goals, having the goals be measurable, goals need to be achievable, relevant and have a time frame for those goals. It is also important to know employees on a personal level, this will help the employees feel important.  Company’s change all the time and policies are always getting updated, at times this makes the employees feel uncomfortable or lost.  Talking one on one with their employees will let the employees open up with any questions or opinions they have about any of the changes.  Employees will feel that their voice counts and being involved in any policy changes is one of the best motivational techniques.  Managers at times are looked as bossy and the person employees have to talk to when they are in trouble.  Instead of always giving negative feedback, praise employees for the good that they are doing at work....
