Career Development Plan Summary

As a new member of midlevel management, I will describe and discuss the restructuring of “Live Today” Consulting team. As a midlevel manager I will explain new responsibilities to the team, and discuss the hiring and training of additional personnel and current employees with upper-level management. I will disclose a better method for appraising team performance than what has been used in the past. Discuss strategies for managing employee’s career development, detail a fair and appropriate compensation plan to include Incentive and benefits packages. This proposal is composed to show upper management how this restructure is designed and implemented.

Descriptions and Qualifications

Working for a personal enrichment company for the past five years has rewarded me with the opportunity to learn many things about myself and people. As a life coach I have learned not to make assumptions and listen. Live Today Consulting, has given me educational opportunities unequaled in the corporate environment, and with the restructuring of live today consulting I have been given an opportunity to lead a team of life coaches to grow the company beyond the corporate realm of the United States of America and into other parts of world. As a first-level manager I managed a team of three coaches, now as a midlevel manager I will be managing five team members, one of which will be my newly promoted first-level manager. As a first-level manager, he or she will ensure the team of coaches has the tools needed to perform a thorough coaching clinic. The first-level manager will be my right hand person, my eyes, and ears. As I did when I was a first-level manager he or she will be the buffer between the staff, the customers, and me. In hopes of expanding our client base, four additional positions will have to be established.
