1 COMPANY BACKGROUND

BreadTalk Pte Ltd is a private limited company incorporated in Singapore under the Companies Act on 24 April 2000. It was founded by our Chairman, Dr. George Quek and our Deputy Chairman, Katherine Lee. On 6 March 2003 as an investment holding public company, and BreadTalk Group was listed on the SGX.

Chairman of Bread Talk Ltd,Dr. George Quek, first concept "BreadTalk" in April 2000 when he foresee an opportunity for operating a bakery selling freshly baked breads and buns which are creative and attractive. BreadTalk is emphasized on freshly baking process, each individual retail outlet was done form the very first preparation of the dough to the final step of topping bakery items. Over the last two years, Bread Talk has introduced brand new varieties of breads, buns, cakes and pastries and presently has launched more than 100 bakery items.

Correspondingly, normal day of the ordinary bun with the creative and innovative have a brand new face by the changing from Bread talk. Therefore, surprising and attractive from consumers have directly contributed BreadTalk in numerous awards and growing popularity locally and also in international markets.

BreadTalk has left remarkable mark on Singapore as one of Asia’s most promising brands. And outlets has extended across 13 countries, Singapore, Indonesia, China, Kuwait, Oman, Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, Korea, Vietnam and Bahrain. Break Talk have its territories with close to 400 bakery outlets (including franchises), 32 food courts and 21 restaurants, supported by global staff strength of 5000 employees.

Each BreakTalk bears the urban, clear glass, clean cut look punctuated subtly with dealing of contrasting colours of artworks, unique to each locate. Its trademark open-kitchen concept further allows customers to view the entire baking process from raw ingredients to finished products, giving customers the assurance of freshly-baked products all day along.
