Executive Summary

There is no doubt that leaders of the future will be faced with new leadership challenges but the one thing that will separate the best companies from the rest is their ability to develop leaders who understand the complexities of globalization. After the recent global financial crisis which affected so many people, it seems the focus was more on establishing new regulatory reforms but when closely examined, it is clear that one of the main reasons why there was a global financial crisis was due to the fact that leaders and top executives did not pay as much attention to their organizational culture as much as they did when it came to making profits and rewarding themselves with huge bonuses. This resulted in scandals and accounting frauds involving renowned companies such as AIG, Omni Media, Siemens, Societe Generale, Tyco, and WorldCom which triggered much interest in global ethical leadership (HSU, 2008).
