MDGS and Targets

1.      To Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger:

- The volunteer program encourages skilled people with different skill sets to come and share their skills with the people in Nepal, while they achieve their own goals. By educating the people in Nepal, a job market is being created, together with skilled people to do the work. This in turn slowly eradicates extreme poverty and hunger.

2.      Develop a Global Partnership for Development:

-  By creating a link to the outside world, by creating an internet connection, Nangi has been able to flourish. They were able to setup a telemedicine system, create a way for villagers in different locations to interact with one another. With the information on the internet, the agriculture improved and people, in particular children were able to learn how to use computers. Also by making use of the internet, they attract volunteers, who in turn assist in the development of Nangi by sharing their skills, assisting where there is a skills shortage and creating and managing projects which benefit Nangi.

3.      Achieve Universal Primary Education:

- By constructing Himanchal High School and making use of the internet and volunteers, the children of Nangi and the surrounding villages, be it boys or girls are able to get a decent education. 

4.     a) Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other diseases;         b) Improve maternal health and reduce child mortality:

- By making use of the volunteers to assist and teach health care providers, and by making use of the telemedicine system, the healthcare system in Nangi is getting better and better. Which in turn means diseases and illness can be better controlled and the people get better healthcare.
