Acid rain is a side effect which mainly caused by the using of fossil fuels, which influences the whole world. Due to the burning of coal, oil or natural gas, sculpture dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air, moisture and water (Petheram 2002). Acid rain can erode buildings when falling, because it corrupts stones. Strong acids even can damage a wide range of materials. It also erodes wood and leaves, which is disadvantage to plants. Rain with acid go through the soil and then pollutes underground water which was the drinking resource of fish and human. Moreover, fish and animals which polluted by the acid water, may be eaten by people without dispose, that will create a serious of sickness. The efficient solutions are depends on the reasons which caused acid pollution, such as the use of rule.

The most direct damage of Acid rain is on buildings. Stones and stucco walls will be eaten after a rain with acid, and it also happened on roofs and many metal elements. For example, in Cracow, acid rain had dissolved the roof of Wawel Castle which made of gold. Currently, the area of damage is wide. Middleton (1998) explained that the cost of this variety of damages on buildings is estimated to be NOK 200-300 million each year in Norway. Another serious influence is that acid rain will erode ancient buildings, especially some historical sites of great value. Ellsworth (1984) pointed out the pollution has eroded the faces of thirteenth-century stone statues and the wood figures of the city’s gothic cathedral.
