Introduction to Nutrition LSN 2503

Project Guidelines:

You are provided with a list of topics all relating to Nutrition issues. You will work individually and should choose one of the subjects.

Research, plan, design and produce a Power Point presentation and a research paper to discuss your topic and inform the class on your research. You may use textbooks, internet, CD Roms, newspaper articles and even teachers as resources for your research.

Discuss your topic with reference to the UAE when possible.

Also see if you find new articles from local newspapers/magazines/journals about your topic to keep it up to date.

Your Power Point should be ORGANISED, NEAT, INFORMATIVE and CREATIVE.

The presentation and report are worth 30% of the total course grade.

Power Point and Presentation (15%)

1) include 12-15 slides

2) Answer seven questions

3) The presentation needs to be leveled to your fellow students

4) Present the information so that it is easy to understand, accurate and interesting

5) Include at least three references

6) The presentation should last for 8-10 minutes

7) Include a video of 2 minutes or less

8) Add at least 5 pictures
