My Plan for Achieving Personal Success

In the Footsteps of my Role Model, Pope John Paul II

As being a child of a conservative catholic family, I have always been hearing good things about Pope John Paul II as being one of the most respectful and well known person throughout the Catholic Church and around the world because of his good work and of the Nobel Peace Prize he received. From this research, I’m hoping to find out more about what made him the person he was, how he could have change the world, and the miracles he did to make him become a saint.

From what I have found, Pope John Paul II was from Poland, he had served the church for almost 27 years and was the second longest serving pope in the history. He helped ended the Communist ruling in his country after his visit when he was a pope and eventually bring down communism in all of Europe. He helped the Roman Catholic Church to reconnect with other religions and also oppose the death penalty as it violates the human rights and “denying criminals the chance to reform”. He was also being the target for assassination three times because of his teaching and bringing down the communism in Europe, two out of three were thought to be the hand of the KGB and one was from the Al-Qaeda. The most remarkable event was when he got shot in the abdomen by Mehmet Ali Agca from a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol, he was nearly lost his life. Surprisingly when he was uncovered, he went to see the assassin and told him that he forgave him and would trust him as a brother.

Those were some of the facts I have found, I’m still trying to find more information about how he became a saint and his miracles. I would probably reach out to some of the well known catholic sites and books to find out more details about Pope John Paul II.
