Course Description
This course integrates applied business research and descriptive statistics. Students will learn to apply business research and descriptive statistics in making better business decisions. Other topics include examination of the role of statistics in research, statistical terminology, the appropriate use of statistical techniques, and interpretation of statistical findings in business and research.
Policies
Faculty and students will be held responsible for understanding and adhering to all policies contained within the following two documents:
University policies: You must be logged into the student website to view this document.
Instructor policies: This document is posted in the Course Materials forum.
University policies are subject to change. Be sure to read the policies at the beginning of each class. Policies may be slightly different depending on the modality in which you attend class. If you have recently changed modalities, read the policies governing your current class modality.
There is a difference between “attendance” and “participation”. Attendance means you signed the roster. Participation means you were an active participant, asking questions, answering questions, promoting discussion and taking part in in-class exercises. Participation is expected for the entire class period.
There are “in-class” activities in the syllabus. Of course you have to be present to complete them. These are meant to give you an opportunity to practice what we study while giving me feedback.
There are no due dates associated with “optional” or “nongraded” activities as these will not be submitted for credit. However, they will be reviewed in class.
