The Augsburg Peace Festival in Germany is celebrated on August 8 each year. It commemorates the Protestants' loss of religious freedom in the city of Augsburg in 1629. It also celebrates the implementation of the Peace of Westphalia. This restored Protestants' religious freedom. Is a public holiday in Augsburg in the German state of Bavaria.
Austria
Since 2007, Grafenegg has presented a top-class programme of concerts as part of the Music Summer and Music Festival. Under the artistic direction of Rudolf Buchbinder, the world's most renowned orchestras, conductors and soloists come to perform on the Wolkenturm open-air stage and in the Auditorium concert hall.
The highlight of the summer is the Musikfestival Grafenegg from mid-August until mid-September. Alongside the concerts there are pre-concert talks, Prélude and Soirée concerts, music workshops, tours of the park and castle, and all kinds of culinary delights on offer.
