INTRODUCTION
In this assignment, I will do a thorough analyses of two unrelated projects and try to bring out the benefits and limitations of different approaches to project planning. I will further focus on management of resources; specifically time, finance and human resource.
In the first task (associated with Critterhouse Limited), I will deal with the concept of project planning, limitations and control. In this, I will look at important concepts like Critical path analysis (CPA) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
In the second task (associated with Ross Limited), I will play the role of project manager (consultant), I will preparing a report that will advise Ross Limited in an initiative to open a new administration office. My role will be to ensure that the building work is completed on time and within the budget.
When dealing with these projects, as a manager/consultant I will ensure the projects meet specific objectives within definite cost, schedule and performance parameters. The functions and processes will be controlled by measuring the performance in relation to set out plan with an aim of achieve organizational objectives.
