Social Media Assignment

There are so many different types of social media networks out there in today’s society and so many newer advances are being created every day. Some of these different types of social media include Facebook, Yahoo Email, and Christian Mingle. Facebook is used to connect with people, share photos, and share what your doing, where you are doing it, when you are doing it, with who you are doing with and how you are feeling. With Facebook you can keep family members who are far away and unable to travel long distances, up to date on grandkids and so forth. Along with connecting with friends and family there come both advantages and disadvantages that I’ll discuss later. Christian Mingle is a dating site that allows you to build a profile to find what maybe your true love. This is a site that I have not been on but know from seeing commercials and such. Connect with people who are close to you or far away if that is the type of relationship you are looking for. Also there is Yahoo Email. Being able to connect with family members that are far away who share personal interest, also known as instant messaging is a feature that has become very suitable between users. Emailing is a type of social network because you can send messages back and forth between you and someone else. This is much easier and simpler for those who have computers and the knowledge and know how to do such things. This allow you to get your message to someone faster than 3 to 5 business days as it would take for the mail. There is no faster way to reach people all over the world within minutes, like you can on social media sites. Social media has many advantages as well as disadvantages. On a constructive side, social media can be used to manufacture a community on either a personal level or even a business level.
