Indoctrination and Inoculation

By Beth Hardin

PSY 285

June 7, 2014

I will attempt to persuade my fellow class mates to support my position of abstaining from driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. I will educate and inform my fellow peers with the knowledge I have gathered that illustrates the dangers and negative consequences of drinking/drugging while driving. Through indoctrination and inoculation I will persuade my peers to use logical inquiry and problem solving to arrive at the conclusion that drinking/drugging while driving is something they must never do.

To think that every 51 minutes, someone dies as a result of a preventable tragedy compels me to think that drinking and drugging while driving is one of the utmost stupidest things a person can do. When a person makes the choice to get behind the wheel while they are under the effects of drugs and or alcohol, they are choosing to not only put others in danger there are also legal ramifications that can happen. When a person gets pulled over for suspicion of being under the influence of drugs and or alcohol, they face...
