Functional Area Interrelationships

The team has chosen to research Riordan Manufacturing. In the paper the team will discuss the primary reasons for the organizations existence by analyzing the mission, vision, values, and goals of the company. The team will analyze the reason for the organization's structure and the key positions that support the structure of the organization. The steps of the collaboration process will be identified and explained. Within in the steps the team will identify how the organization is able to achieve their goals. The action plan will also be implemented for the collaboration process. An example of the use of lateral collaboration and vertical collaboration will also be provided. The action plan will also be implemented on the use of lateral and vertical collaboration. The companies stakeholders and roles will be identified explain how the organization meets their goals. These topics will be discussed to help understand how Riordan Manufacturing operates and leads to the success of the company.

State the primary reasons for the organization’s existence from an analysis of the mission, vision, values, and goals

Riordan manufacturing is a global plastics manufacturer that has an employment of 550 people. Their mission for customer relationships is to "strive to be a solution provider for our customers and not be a part of our customer’s challenges. Long term relationships will be sought by maintaining rigorous quality controls, innovative solutions, a responsive business attitude and reasonable pricing (Riordan Manufacturing Virtual Organization (2014)." Riordan is looking to provide a great and long term experience for their customers at a reasonable pricing.
