Abstract

This paper explores three published articles that report on results from the advancements in aviation systems with the incorporation of modern technologies. These articles agree with the idea that new technology is taking aviation beyond the basics. This paper will give an overview of how aviation is continuously making advancements to aircraft systems and how new technology is making this all possible

Aviation has come a long way and continues to reach heights that once were thought to be impossible. The vast improvements with modern technology along with the brilliant minds of engineers is making a way for Aircraft Systems to produce systems that is allowing aircraft to be invisible in the sky and flown without a human life in the seat. The reality of today’s aviation has surpassed the basics of aviation that were brainstormed and created by early pioneers. In the words of Orville Wright “ If we worked on the assumption that what is accepted as true really is true, then there would be little hope for advance.” This is a perfect quote that could explain the constant advancements with aircraft systems.

As stated by Justin Hale (2006) “The Boeing program has consciously designed in new, state-of-the-art features and performance that reduce cost and increase airplane availability.” This headstrong approach is the basis of all aviation companies when it comes to the development of new aircraft technologies. We all have been witnessed to monumental developments in the aviation community and we can expect to continue to see groundbreaking advancements. Amy Butler (2013) wrote, “A large, classified unmanned aircraft is now flying and it demonstrates a major advance in combining stealth and aerodynamic efficiency.” This alone...
