Based on the results of previous studies about job satisfaction, we are aiming to: • Examine job satisfaction among junior secondary school teachers in Vietnam in order to explore the factors that are associated with job satisfaction. • Give evaluations and implications towards teaching career in Vietnam. • Draw an urgent need for policy makers recognise the fact that educational quality is largely related to teacher job satisfaction.

• Recently, teacher job satisfaction has been emerging faster as a phenomenon that catches much attention from the government and society. • Teachers devote their capacity and qualification for the mission of training best human resources for the nation’s progress of development. • With the aim of achieving the Education for All (EFA) goals by 2015, Ministry of Education and Training tries to find solutions to make teaching career improved.
