We chose to take the example of the French industry because it’s a big matter for the government and especially the ecologist after Fukushima catastrophe.

The Nuclear blueprint has given positive results in France

In 1974 French government decided to accelerate the nuclear program in order to give energetic independence to the country. We can measure this progress through 4 statements:

First Observation: thanks to the nuclear industry nuclear independence rate in France has hold steady since 1990 about 50%.

Second Observation: Our electricity cost is one of the less expensive and the most stable in Europe.

Kilowatt-hour cost produced by the existing nuclear park is less to the best thermal industry.

Third Observation: Those results have been obtained respecting safety criteria and standard radiation protections.

The government has established a control organisation and an independent authority for the safety when builders and operators have guarantied to respect those safety rules to prevent from any radiation spread for the population. Waste is also controlled to stay under the limit allowed.

Fourth Observation: The development of the French nuclear program enabled the country to protect the quality of its environment.
