Standardized all servers and workstations to Windows 2000 w/ Active Directory.

Redesigned the IT road cases

Switching to compact rack-mounted servers w/ standardized cable connections

Fontaine no longer needs to unpack and re-install the servers in each city

Switch to voice-over-IP technology to replace cumbersome copper cable w/ fiber-optic cable

Fiber-optic cable is lighter and can handle both data and voice, eliminating the need for separate lines

VoIP puts pressure on IT to make sure network is available 24/7

Switching to VoIP and single cables for voice and data reduces install timeframe by 25%

Savoie eventually wants to move to wireless which would further simplify the process of setting up

Working to install sale software that will link cash registers on tour to SAP at headquarters. This will lead to better management of inventory, identify best sellers, & fine-tune retail strategies.

Providing internet access to the international cast crew. This boosts morale and gives tour personnel opportunity to stay in touch with family and friends.
