Methodology

Research Design

The study is descriptive. Best and Kahn (2007), defines descriptive research as often been used incorrectly to describe three types of investigation that are different. Perhaps their superficial similarities have obscured their difference. On the other hand, Burns and Grove (2003:195) define a research design as “a blueprint for conducting a study with maximum control over factors that may interfere with the validity of the findings”.

It is concerned not only with the characteristics of each bakeries but with the characteristics of the whole sample thereof. It provides information useful to the solutions of local issues (problems). Survey may be quantitative in verbal or mathematical form of expression; such studies are factual and hence supply practical information. The survey research employs applications of scientific method by critically analyzing and examining the source materials, by analyzing and interpreting data, and by arriving at generalization and prediction. Since, the present study was undertaken to study the production and quality control of the selected bakeries in Candelaria, Quezon. Hence, the descriptive survey research method was adopted.

Research locale

The study was conducted in Candelaria, Quezon. Particularly within the premises of selscted bakeries in Poblacion, Pahinga, Malabanban Norte andMalabanban Sur.

Sources of Data

The participants of the study were 20 owners, 20 sellers and 20 bakers of selected Bakeries in Candelaria, Quezon. Those respondents were given questionnaires by means of convenience sampling whereby limitation has been set in the selection of respondents. A total of 60 questionnaires will be prepared and the survey ended after these questionnaires were filled up by the respondents; then collected, tallied, analyzed and interpreted.
