Introduction:

“...naiinis akong isipin na ginaganyan ka nya. Siguro nga’y hindi nya lang alam ang iyong tunay na halaga.” This song helps me to understand the philosophy of Karol Wojtyla. The person is very important for him. And the value of this person is shown through actions. In the song Halaga, I found that in this song, there is a person that is using another person without understanding what he or she means or worth as a person. For Wojtyla, the first thing to do is to understand the meaning of the person, then how his actions reveal him as a person and what proper action for a person. As I understand what ethics is, it is the study of actions with reasons. And for Wojtyla, the reason of this action is the ‘person’. His philosophy focuses to ultimate end of every person is to be with God in eternal life. But how can we attain that end? In the Gospel, Jesus answered the question of a rich man who is asking what is good can he do to gain the eternal life, “God alone is good. He also focuses on the Phenomenology. To learn how using a person as the end of actions affects the person. To learn how the commandment of love is related in moral goodness. The main source of this paper is his first Philosophical work, Love and Responsibility. I use his other works and commentaries in his...
