1. Identify and explain key trends that are occurring in computer peripheral devices? How do these trends affect business uses of computers?

Some key trends that are occurring in peripheral devices include bigger monitors with touch screen capabilities. As well as USB flash drives that can be programmed to store data for unlimited periods of time without power. The size of the drives allows for easy transportation, and they are very durable.

2. Discuss important computer hardware developments that you expect to happen in the next 10 years? How will these affect the business use of computers?

A bigger integration of smart mobile technology, companies will have fewer desktop computers and use tablets that can hold and process just as much data as a desktop. Also security measures for computers will become more complex such as facial recognition or finger print.

3. What trends are occurring in the development and use of the major types of computer systems?

Computers are becoming smaller and faster and have more memory, also they are easier to use, and can connect to virtually any accessory wirelessly.

4. What application software packages are the most important for a business end user to know how to use? Explain the reasons for your choices.

Some important software packages include Word Processing software which allows document processing, formatting, and printing, Database management systems, which creates and maintains individual business applications to extract data without having to create separate files. Spread sheets, which displays data in a grid and has the capability to easily compute data.
