Since beginning this class I have made may nutritional changes. I have cut back on calories, cut out junk food, and begun exercising on a daily basis. My health has increased, so has my energy and motivation. My goal is to lose some weight for my family reunion next year. I want everyone to notice that my life has changed for the better. Changing my lifestyle is not for right now, but for the rest of my life. This is something that I plan on sticking with.

My first goal is to get down to a healthy weight. I have purchased a membership at Planet Fitness. Since I work full time it is not much time for me to work out, but I find a way. I go at least four times a week and stay for no less than an hour. The treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike and abdominal machines are my favorite machines to use. They help to burn fat fast and in a safe manner. Eating under 2000 calories a day has helped to lose 10 pounds. My next goal is to lose 10 more pounds before October. Junk food is an addiction that I have nipped in the bud. It caused me to gain the weight that I am trying to lose now. Fruit has become my replacement for the cakes and chips that I gave up. It has more nutrition and health factors. Another goal of mine is to get my family involved in my new eating and exercising habits. Right now they are skeptical, but they will come around soon.

A few months ago, I would go to the grocery store and pack the basket with processed foods, candy, and other unhealthy things. Now I buy fresh fruit and vegetables. This is because I have come to realize that honey buns are not a necessity. Fruit trays are a better dessert than cake and ice-cream. My diet consists of whole grains, vegetables and fruit. This has helped me to lose weight and it will help me to continue losing weight in the future. I plan on researching some dietary supplements that will also aid on my road to success.
