1.1 Executive Summary

Since 1983 E.C the emerging of the new political era in Ethiopia had given a suitable business environment by paradigm shift of the economy system from command socialist ideology to a free marketing system. This had given a chance for Addis Ababa to emerge in anew stylish way to be not only the capital city of Ethiopia but also the city of Africa nation.

Especially in the past 10 years, Addis Ababa has shown a significant change in all economy growth such building of infrastructures, houses and establishment of international community organization in the city also has been opened the door for many foreigners in bound their destination.

However; the development of the city has being shown many attractive buildings for different purposes, construction of ring roads ,hotels ,restaurants, standard supermarkets etc…, lacks an effective well organized car parking system that could align with the development of the city that accommodate the volume of the vehicles.

The contemporary situation of the city for the growth of the economy and increasing of the incoming of Ethiopian born is highly promissory due to this it is a satisfactory business to start modern car parking which currently seen in unsatisfactory in the market.

Being encouraged by this market situation, a group composed of six MBA students at Alpha University College, has been interested to start this parking service business in Addis Ababa with a capital of 20 million ETB.

With the assessment of the car parking service market that has been taken here in Addis Ababa, it is being satisfactory promissory growth, and currently there is no standardized parking system that compatible to the growth of the city, Addis Ababa.

Accordingly, it is to be proposed for the beginning to establish the service at Merkato marketing center in order to give an effective parking service with the extension of the market share in the next three or five years through four...
