Technology Transforming the World

Technology for different people means different things. Some people view it as an application of scientific knowledge for specific purpose, others sees it as an entity of knowledge applied to make tools, enhance skills, and find new goods. Others may simply see it as Internet, electronics, and smart phones. Kevin Kelly Founder and Executive Editor of Wired magazine describes technology as awareness of the technnium's long-term cosmetic trajectories, and the evolution of a four billion-year path, and he feels that feels technology’s evolution is unavoidable, as is the evolution of humanity (Schiffman, 2011). However, Technology elevated human life above the rest of other species on this planet. Since the early-recorded time, technology always served as an extension to the human muscles and brain. Furthermore, every invention and innovation did lead to new discoveries and achievements. Consequently, technology is increasingly challenging Mother Nature’s laws in controlling and harnessing the planet power's. In addition, today's life is becoming full of comfort, and it feels like a small village. With growing economies and prospering democracies, people are living in better conditions than ever before. However, despite economic prosperity and political alliances, technology transforms this world into a more peaceful place because it eliminates people’s differences, improves their lives, and solves difficult problems.

Historically, individuals and societies always differ from each other. These differences include languages, cultures, traditions, and believes. It is not surprising to link some of these differences to geographical gaps and language barriers between countries. Fortunately, with every new invention and innovation, the gap is closing and the differences are becoming less of challenge.
