Character in Marketing Management

Character is probably the most important trait that an individual can have. The way that a person conducts every aspect of the way that they live is a direct reflection of they're character. Philippians, 4:8 states, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things”. In this Scripture the lesson for one to follow is that a person should depend on their own experience and knowledge of what is true, honorable, right, pure when making life decisions. If an individual or firm were to go by this Scripture alone, it would be a great asset for those in the marketing or business world. Most of the time a business is more concerned with making money than they are about morals and character. There are instances when business leadership places money over values and personnel. Philippians 4:8 reminds us that putting these material things over morals, and good character is not the right way to be personally or professionally. Material things or profits cannot be the main focus if we want to succeed and excel in the marketing and business world. “Marketing will only be as good as the people inside the organization. It also reflects the fact that marketers must view consumers as people to understand their lives more broadly, and not just as they shop for and consume products and services.” (Kotler & Keller,2012)

Additionally, this Scripture discusses and shows the value of those companies and their ethos when they wish to increase their customer base. When marketing a business to the professional public world, the managers focus on highly praising the virtues and
