Effectively written business documents posses certain characteristics:

|CORRECTNESS |Produced document should be error free; i.e. in punctuation, word usage, spelling and grammar. |

| |Errors create noise/ distracts reader from focusing on intended message. |

|CONCISENESS |Use fewest numbers of words in presenting information. |

| |Saves cost. |

|CLARITY |Message should be exact and understandable; |

| |to avoid creating confusion or frustration in receiver. |

|CONCRETENESS |To the point and as specific as possible; |

| |to avoid misinterpretation/ misconception. |

|COMPLETENESS |Answer all questions/ Address all related issues. |

|Known as the 6 Cs of Effective written communications. |
