Over the past week of class, we discussed the advantages and disadvantages of wireless media in terms of telecommunication. We also discussed the benefits of using information systems in a business. Over the past few years the use of wireless technology in the form of smart phones, satellites, wireless transmission media has changed the way people do business on a daily bases. You are able to conduct a business meeting with the business partners in several different locations. Wireless media has come a long way over the last decade and is continuing to evolve every day. Wireless devices have changed the way businesses operate and run businesses allowing employees to conduct business on the go. Whether its with their cell phones, laptops, even Ipads. There are numerous devices that allow businesses to be more flexible when conducting business. However, there are some challenges associated with developing a system of communication based on wireless media such as dead zones. There are many areas that still don't have access to the towers required to develop this type of system. Dead zones are a major problem for a lot of areas. If an employee is conducting business on the go, a dead zone can interfere with what the employee is trying to accomplish. Another challenge to this type of system is security. Just as technicians are developing ways to keep sensitive information secure, hackers are also constantly trying to find ways around the security. Most people know Excel as Microsoft's spreadsheet application, and have used the software to create simple tables and charts for class work. But I am sure a lot of people did not realize how much functionality the software includes. There are a lot of capabilities Excel has to offer its users. .
