Patagonia Case Study

Patagonia is a prosperous business that has developed at a memorable pace. What I found fascinating about Patagonia is that the creator’s drive was never exclusively about creating profits; other things were more significant. The business is very considerably motivated by a culture. This combined eco-friendly and well balance values have been shaped by Yvon Chouinard and spouse Malinda. “Make the best quality product and cause no excess harm” (Merchant, 2007) shows the heart of their inspiration which was conveyed by Mr. Chouinard in the mid 90’s at Corporate Citizenship presented by former President Clinton. Workers at Patagonia will enjoy a peaceful, open, welcoming and holistically environment. Employees can dress casually; revel in wholesome meals at reasonable prices, flexible hours, and available onsite childcare services. Even though in the start there was no formal management controller method founded on financial goals; the strategic aim was clear in that excellence is that the company strives for. Senior administrations were united in the same workplace as everybody and individuals were encouraged to contribute in asking any queries and offer responses that they may have. There were recurrent after work open opportunities meetings held by management where personnel could take part in. In the work environment, the staff there felt valued and appreciated for their contributions to the business “because it contributes to the purpose of protecting and preserving the environment” (Robbins, 2014).

The principal concern within the business is a sense of gratification. This is when there is a remarkable amount of accomplishment in the company. On the exterior, this makes everybody feel as if they are at the front position of industry and improvement. Nonetheless, beneath it...
