Executive Summary
Foreign Aid Canada is a Canadian third-word aid organization founded in 1991 by Dr. Barry Green. It delivers relief and support in areas struck with famine and other disasters. Its activities include drilling wells, improving irrigation system, and helping famers in different ways. The organization’s issues and strategic initiatives will be evaluated in this report as it joins the fight against AIDS. With its global supporters and proposed projects, FAC desires to help treat Africa and Asia with its efforts.
The organization has succeeded through its key success factors, and continues to grow and receive public recognition. FAC has received slow donor growth due to the recession but with the fight against AIDS the future prospective donations will grow. The organization faces threats, as it is new to the fight against AIDS. But analysis of its strategic alternatives will provide the most efficient and cost-effective way to start.
By implementing Mobile AIDS Units it will allow FAC to slowly but efficiently enter the fight against AIDS and meet its yearly targets. The alternative allows for future growth and monitoring of success within the year. It will allow FAC to reach more places and grow its presence in Africa. Which align strongly with FAC’s mandate and targets.
Introduction
This report will address the key issues and concerns of Foreign Aid Canada (FAC), and the analysis of key strategic alternatives that will allow FAC to continue to succeed. It will include financial analysis, recommendations and an implementation plan to ensure smooth execution of the strategic project.
