CONSTITUTION

PREAMBLE:

We the WONDERFUL Youth Group

RECOGNISING the need to promote social welfare, economical development, and investment TAKING into account the desirability to support one another in time of need; MINDFUL of our role and responsibility as part of a larger social community, HEREBY DECLARE that there shall be in the republic of Kenya, a Social Youth Development Group be known as WONDERFUL YOUTH GROUP.

Article 1

Aims and Objectives

The aims and objectives of the WONDERFUL YOUTH GROUP shall be:

1. To cater for all members social needs as the group members may determine from time to time

2. To provide a forum for social interaction among members

3. To be able to invest and uplift the living standards of Members

4. To invest and/or borrow with a view to attaining objectives (1) to (3) above

5. To work towards getting a share of the public procurement

6. To work towards accessing the government Uwezo Fund

Article 2

In order to ensure that the objectives are met, the group will have to elect a team of officials who will lead the group.

i. Chairman

ii. Vice Chair

iii. Secretary

iv. Organizing Secretary

v. Treasurer

The chair shall:

i) Have the overall responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the group

ii) Report to the members on the operations of the group at the end of every financial year

iii) Chair all meetings of the members and the operations of the group monthly

iv) Have a casting vote

v) Be one of the signatories in all transactions of the group

vi) Undertake any other responsibility as may be assigned by the members

The Vice Chair shall deputise the Chair

Article 3

The Secretary Shall:

i) Take minutes of all meetings of the members and the Investment Committee

ii) Maintain and keep custody of all correspondence and records relating to the group
