Introduction

It was stated that:

“Public policy is the sum of government activities, whether acting directly or through agents , as it has an influence on the life of citizens”

This leads us to policy making which is defined by Hans Stol as:

“policy making is the process by which governments translate their political vision into programmes and actions to deliver outcomes"- desired changes in the real world

There are different systems used in a policy making for instance, some systems may require a majority vote , whereas some may require the capacity of 50 % or more votes or it can even be egalitarian cultured[ where only the higher ups votes counts].

This basically says to us that Policymaking is the conversion of social interest and demands into authority’s public decisions. In accordance to what has been previously mentioned, the government is accepted as the policy making part of a political system.

Policymaking is affected by various social and economic factors, whether or not the process is simple or not.

This research is tasked with the duty of discussing the statement “government and policy making in the developed world is more complicated than in the developing world.”

The researcher will first distinguish the two entities i.e. the developed and the developing world, followed by acknowledging some of the various factors that that would have a major impact on policy making. The researcher will finally make a brief analysis and conclude.

Although united nations organization, has made known that there is no established convention for the designation of "developed" and "developing countries"’ these terms still exist .
