In looking at what options I would consider in dealing with this type of working environment and the potential hazards encounter I would most definitely choose to do something. Taking into account the cockiness and smug attitudes that most of the people talked to expressed. It has become rather common place to smile and turn the other cheek. I do not excel here at all. If I had no other option for employment I would begin on one yesterday. With that said how I would choose to proceed would be as follows.

I would do my own research and get a vague idea of how bad the dust issue really was. If it showed dangerous potential then I would start. The first area would be to determine contacting Occupational Hazard agencies as anonymously if possible. My reasoning here takes into account the point that this has become an unsafe environment and while temporarily has not blown up the potential is there and I cannot rationalize ignoring it. While it temporarily benefits the company to run in such capacity , the long term fall out is not an acceptable risk for me and I do not see any benefit in putting a band aide on the bullet wound and then ignoring it hoping it will fix itself. The responses given support the fact that it is known and the employees are expending to justify profit margins. So after I contacted the environmental agencies I would wait till they investigated and blend in the back ground as much as possible.

After they left I would find a way to get some information on the investigation and then leak it to the press. This would create an internal company buzz that can be problematic. So in minimizing the fall out I...
