The Earth’s Atmosphere

I chose to write my research paper on the web site titled “The Earths Atmosphere”. I broke down the layers of the atmosphere in a way that was easy to understand and visualize. It started with a brief description of the entire system then went on to break it down into the separate layers whilst having a visual diagram of the information being explained. I think the figure included is a very important learning factor for this topic because it is not a subject that you can just pull down and look at in the palm of your hand. I think that this site, having come from an official .edu website, is a creditable source of information on this topic. I cannon speak on the currency of the information, as I could not find a date this article was published. (I have to print these out as I am in Afghanistan so I may be missing something) However, the information covered is accurate. What I like best about this site is how the information is presented; it is in paragraphs that are easy to read and understand instead of a listing of bullets like one of the other websites. I only thing that I dislike about this site is the figure, how ever small the detail may be I liked the figure from “Vertical Structure of the Atmosphere” because it showed the different level in relation to normal things we may encounter in everyday life such as planes, weather balloons, and thunderstorms. All-in-all I thought this was a very informative website that I would feel comfortable in using as a reference for some type of research.
