The Research Focus

The research could mainly focus on which brand of hamburger is most famous or delicious or healthy in Queen Street for customers in Auckland. In my opinion, I will mainly focus on which brand of hamburger is most delicious in Queen Street.

Background Assumption

A background assumption is your own assumption of how things are supposed to be. In this research, as a researcher, you need to assume that most people think the same way as your assumption about the result of the research. For example, you assume that the best hamburger in Queen Street could be McDonalds’s hamburger.

Research Questions

There are some questions could be used in the research.

1. Which fast food restaurant people choose more frequently in Queen Street

2. What flavor of hamburger people prefer to purchase more

3. Which brand of hamburger customers prefer to choose based on different age group or occupation and why;

Sources of data

To accomplish our research questions, we need to collect data and information.

There are some data sources we can use in this research.

1. Customers. Mostly, we can collect the primary data from the customers and this is the most direct sources of data;

2. Fast food restaurants. We can collect sales statistics from those restaurants and compare them;

3. Published magazines or Newspapers. Those may show customers’ purchase behaviors and preferences on hamburgers;

4. Media. Some useful data and information could be collected through Websites or TVs.

Methods of data collection and analysis

Quantitative and qualitative data collection methods are widely used collection methods.

With quantitative data collection methods, we can:
