National Health Care

Nearly 20 percent of all Americans lack any method of healthcare insurance. Countless more are underinsured. So, a great number of Americans obtain little or no healthcare at all. Several, but not all, of these folks are women and children. Some are poor, but most are not. Quite a few of these uninsured are essentially working families who cannot come up with the money for coverage, yet, make too much to be qualified for Medicaid, the state’s healthcare provider.

In a great civilization, such as ours, it is a shame that we cannot offer what should be a simple human right, to all of our people, in the same way. The equal or excellence of healthcare should be an unchallengeable right of all people, not an honor of the few. Money should not be allowed to order that some should live in decent health while others agonize in disgrace and resentment. The absence of common healthcare is one of the utmost common discriminations of our culture.

A solo payer healthcare structure would go a long way toward flattening the playing field for everyone. A single payer system is one in which a single unit, such as Medicaid, obtains, offers and or pays for all healthcare needs. Providing even and worldwide healthcare for all, regardless of race or build, can only improve our complete society. The shared good is served best by serving all.

However, revenues order the rules in US healthcare today. So long as healthcare flourishes only as a purpose of revenue, a single payer system will never come to pass. Insurance companies, lawyers, doctors, pharmaceutical companies, medical suppliers, and also hospitals all strive for money in a merciless fashion. Everyday people are deprived of sufficient care because they can pay no more. This needs stop in the healthcare industry.
