At this time, Riordan Manufacturing is very disorganized when it comes to their information systems. Each location has their own software application, the sales team members each keep their records differently, they are not charging enough to make a profit on the goods they are selling, and they need to make their internet website more customer oriented.

The new system will impact all departments. It will improve the quality of work, increase productivity, reduce stress, and allow the company to work as one instead of working as four separate businesses.

There are multiple people and workstations that will be accessing the new system at the same time.

Riordan is needing a new system that will help them send information about finances, production, sales, and all other business matters to the corporate headquarters and other locations. They also need this same system to allow sales team members to use a specific format to keep records. It needs to allow the corporate headquarters to set prices instead of allowing each location to set their own prices. The system also needs to allow the IT department to manage the website more efficiently and allow them to create a mobile app.

The new system will allow the business to run smoother, reduce confusion, communicate with customers and employees easier, and allow them to start bringing in more revenue which will help keep the business alive.
