INTRODUCTION

Business, or the theory of business has never changed, it’s about making money. The idea of increasing profit margins is something that every owner or executive wishes to do for their company, and ours is no difference. Today, technology is something that can be used to streamline business, and it can be done relatively inexpensively if done correctly. The growth this company has shown recently, and the current age of the equipment we have make this a perfect time to make a change.

Cloud computing, or cloud storage is something that is very popular today. It can be used for many things: personal storage, backup storage, you can run virtual machines on a cloud based environment, but for our purpose, I think the biggest advantage is something called software as a service. Using the cloud server and software as a service, an offsite data center can monitor and run our software 24 hours a day, making sure the company’s server is almost always fully functional.

Summary of technology and the problem solution

Some might consider our situation a bad one, but I look at it as a place where we can make some positive changes. The business has experienced some rapid growth recently, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down soon. The increased demand on our server, along with the age of the equipment puts us in the market for new equipment. As you know, this can be very expensive, often thousands of dollars depending on needs.

Another problem we have is how our server interacts with the clients. We require a local Internet service provider’s connection to make sure we can give our clients access to our server, which runs eighty percent of the business.
