Arms for the Poor: The Global Impact of the Weapons Industry

How the commercialization of weapons can influence in a Global scenario affecting thousands of lifes? As shown in this documentary the U.S. weaponry industry earns a considerable income supplying war material to several nations. These trades, which only aim unbridled profit and economical reasons foment endless wars and non totalitarian regimes. The lack of humanity and respect by these industries and the government itself are affecting common people inside and outside U.S. generating problems such tyrants maintenance, genocides and social problems.

Since the Cold War Times U.S. is considered an important player in weapons trades selling weapons to all countries against the Soviet regime being considerate the nation which most commercializes guns compared to the other countries in the same trade. With a strong economy arm focused on manufacturing of guns to one key strategy adopted by them is using their war machine as democracy fighters in conflicts such as the Gulf War as a way to promote their top of the line products to potential customers and also to keep their internal economy warmed up with the contribution of tax payers.

The potential customers of the North American weaponry industry in ironic and controversial way dictatorships which does not follow democratic principles or even human rights. Generally these nations lives in constant civil war and their population are devoid of basic needs as education life quality and many others. It is possible to see children fighting in this carnage caring American guns. However, the war tycoons don't care about this situation because as long a war exists it will have American guns participating. With their pockets full of money due their revenues and naked of any regret the friendly entrepreneurs will still earning with it.
