Why do we need to study physics?

A cliché question that everyone is asking, I also ask myself why we need to study that branch of science that deals with matter and energy. Want to know why? It is because it is the beginning of everything. After watching Michio Kaku’s A Universe in a Nutshell.

A Universe in a nutshell is an interesting documentary. First, I can’t believe that when Albert Einstein died, he is already an 8 year old child aspiring to be a physicist and that caught my interest watching that documentary.

At first, he explain the history of physics and when he talk about why objects stops moving and tell that Aristotle specified that the objects stop moving because they get tired, I reacted, Huh? Is that true? As there not a single time that came into my mind that a scientist like Aristotle would think like that. Until now, I still laugh whenever I think about that even though I know the reason why he stated that.

There are things that I learn; every time that I heard about future, the first things that comes into my mind is Physics. Without Physics, there no future because our future comprises physics, laser beams, flying cars, robots and everything comes from physicist. Can you imagine a world when physicists aren’t born yet? It is like a book without words; it is empty.

The whole world is almost related to science. Electronics, internet and everything that use the four energies includes gravity, electro-magnetism, weak and strong nuclear energy to function is the by-product of science. This branch also comprises of theories. Now, I know how theories are proposed. The theory will work every time and everywhere without exception. That how theories are accepted.

At this time, scientist are debating what is the fifth energy, many believe that dark energy is the fifth energy to complete the string theory. Until now, scientists are searching for someone who will explain and describe what that dark energy is....
