Biblical Worldview Essay

The Biblical worldview is that God created all things. Christ makes all things new, including the way one sees the world. God is the source of all truth, the Bible is authoritative and speaks to every area of life, and we must seek to understand and then apply God’s truth. The career I have chosen to take in life is teaching. In order to better live out God’s truth as a teacher, I must fully understand what it means. I see the use of God’s truth as compassion and grace as to not be angered by young ones.

In order to teach, having compassion towards students is a must, such as God shows in Exodus 33:19. Psalm 103:8, when it comes to teaching, it takes a compassionate, caring person to not get angry easily and show compassion towards all. Anger is one of the greatest hindrances of compassion because it can overwhelm children’s minds and spirits. Psalm 119:76-78 is also the kind of compassion I hope to receive to pass along to my students. Working with young children, if chosen, I will need compassion and not scare them with anger. A compassionate classroom is not an area of learning that lacks academic consistency. With compassion, students get more of a sense of belonging just as I feel compassion from God when I pray of my sins. I feel as if I am closer to Him and that I can fully be embraced by Him as a compassionate God. I feel accepted and loved knowing that I am within His presence. Compassion also shows the student that they can have a love towards what they are studying and that in turn puts more effort into their work. Compassionate classrooms are places where student voices and student ideas are prioritized.

Grace is the most important concept in the Bible, Christianity, and the world. For my first example, being gracious in a biblical view means doing as Christ did in forgiveness for our sins when we did not deserve it. When it comes to teaching, I feel that I will...
