Today GOOGLE is an American multinational Internet and software corporation. With a stock price that was originally the highest in its class. The company currently employs 8000 employees and it is based in Mountain View, California. It also has several other headquarters in places like Seattle. It is specialized in the fields of Internet search, cloud computing, and other advertising technologies. Today Google hosts and develops a number of Internet-based services and products. The prime source of Google’s profit is advertising through its Ad Words program. Google has grown rapidly since its incorporation and beyond the company's core web search engine it has managed to develop chain of products, acquisitions, and partnerships. Google also offers online productivity soft ware’s like the Gmail email service, Google+ social networking service, the Google Docs office suite. Now the Google's products extend to the desktop as well, with applications such as the Google Chrome web browser, the Picasa photo organizing and editing software along with instant messaging application like Google Talk.

Google leads the development of the Android mobile operating system, as well as the Google Chrome OS browser-only operating system which is found on specialized laptops called Chrome books. According to the current estimates Google has over one million servers in data centers around the world.
