This quote basically points out that what you become is due to your inner self, your inner being. Those are the intrinsic factors that drive ones life more than anything else. The first line points out that whatever one thinks would usually what he or she will be doing or what will be shown in his or her actions. As human beings we are driven with both intrinsic and extrinsic factors in life. Though both are important, the intrinsic factor is the one that would define you as a person. This would then translate into actions. And once we try to do things frequently, we are acquiring the habit of doing it. This would be evident on how a person was raised by the people around him or her especially his closest relatives. The Genogram during the past meetings had clearly shown a correlation of how a person is now. This could be because during our formative years, we are exposed to people who are close to us who also influence us with our actions. We are constantly reminded of what should or should not be done and in effect we end up following them most of the time. This is also evident with how we were raised. The learnings that we get from our parents or the inspiration we acquired from them also had a big impact in our lives. Most often you see the relationship why a person has chosen a career. For instance a teacher would have one of his parents as teacher or probably his or her grandmother or grandfather is also with the same profession. In the early stages of our lives, we are little by little forming our character because of what we see and experience every single day of our lives. Also we have also learned that our various experiences also make up our character. The highs and low of our life or our lifeline defines our character. This explains why we respond in a certain way to a specific scenarios while others would react differently. Add to that would be the enneagram, which also defines our character.
