4B.1 PERSONALITY TEST

My results for the big five personality test were the following:

Neuroticism (2)

Agreeableness (6.5)

Conscientiousness (6.5)

Extraversion (6)

Openess to Experience (6.5)

I scored low on the trait neuroticism. In comparison with others, I am generally reasonably calm. When others are stressed, I tend to keep my cool. I am not easily discouraged, others might call this being stubborn. As a result, I might appear to be somewhat controlled and satisfied and tend to get along well with more stable personality types:people known to be cool-headed. I sometimes find it difficult to deal with people who are insensitive and whiny. Working in a psychiatric hospital, you have to be very tolerant and flexible. On several occassions the staff acts out worse than the clients.

I scored very high on the trait agreeableness. My attitude can be catergorized as people-minded and I am generally empathetic. When dealing with people, I am helpful and take the other person's feelings into account. My assessment of others is generally relatively mild. I am known to be nice and generally have trouble dealing with people who are harsh and unrelenting. As a result, I tend to sell myself short and ignore my own needs. Thus I will normally feel comfortable with people whose approach is to be highly considerate of others. I have trouble dealing with people who are extremely competitive and harsh.

I scored very high on the trait conscientiousness. I tend to let my conscience lead me whenever possible. I am generally well organized and for the most part have my affairs in order. My friends and family members who are much messier think I am prudent. In general, I keep my promises and I often expect others to keep theirs.
