INTRODUCTION

Anorexia Nervosa is a medical term for lack of appetite. It is an eating disorder that involves extreme weight loss to the point of damaging vital organs and even death. It is characterized by an obsessive fear of gaining weight. Anorexia Nervosa has many complicated implications and may be thought of as a lifelong illness that may never be truly cured, but managed over time. Anorexia Nervosa is the most severe of the three eating disorders. In fact, if not treated, it is a life threatening. Anorexia Nervosa occurs most often in teenage girl, but has also been noticed in boys.

Anorexia Nervosa, mental illness in which a person has an intense fear of gaining weight and a distorted perception of their weight and body shape.
