Even though an organization can run without ethics, ethics is a necessary quality in any organization.

In today’s ever changing and diverse world that we live in it is pretty much a known fact that this will change the workplace in which we live, as well as the people we are working with because people may come from different cultures, lifestyles, races and beliefs. Due to this overwhelming amount of diversity in our workplace, as well as our everyday lives, we must venture into the world of ethics. Along with this we must know or learn what is and what is not ethically or morally correct in the work place, in order to be able to cross those cultural boundaries that our lifestyle has brought us into. In the business world an employee must know what is right and what is wrong while one the job.

There are many ethical dilemmas in today’s society that one must be careful when faced with in order to make the best decision on how to precede. We are working with many different people from different backgrounds, race and cultures. Because of this we have to approach what is said in the workplace with great caution as to not hurt or undermine someone else’s beliefs. One must be respectful of others and their way of life even though it may not be something we believe to be the ‘correct’ way of living. For example when interviewing we must be mindful of age, religion and sex. Therefore there are questions that cannot be asked in an interview, such as how old are you, what religion are you, do you have children and do you have an automobile, just to name a few.

As the economy stays in a recession state we have to always do the morally correct thing so that the fallen economy does not cause us to perform measures that we would otherwise not even consider as an option. Sometimes it...
