Success Starts With You

Ms. Chua is the mother of my block-mate named Kath. I met her during the days when we used to visit Kathleen in her house. As what I’ve known about Ms. Chua, she is very nice and kind in person and very funny and cheerful. I didn’t expect Ms. Chua to be our speaker because she is known to be so busy with her businesses.

Moreover, Ms. Chua shared us on how to build ourselves and how to become a successful person in the future. First obedience, being obedient is the key to success and obedience leads to blessing. Second would be hard work, Developing good habits for a successful career include the habit of being hard working. Being able to complete your tasks and finish what you start, is an essential part of character building. Third is flexibility, grab all the opportunities while it is in there because sometimes things that you wouldn’t thought are the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you would have never imagined at the beginning of your journey. Fourth would be integrity, if you are a person that has integrity, your personal relationships and professional relationships will be genuine and the people around you will know they can trust you with anything. If you have integrity, people will give you higher level responsibilities because they know and feel like you will always do the right thing. If you stand up for doing the right thing, people at times may not always agree with what you do, but they will have a great respect for you, that you stand up for what you believe in. With integrity, you are looked at as real person, someone with class. People with high integrity never have to look over their shoulder for anything they’ve done. They can feel good about the choices they make. And last but not the least character and attitude, living the life of your dreams starts with getting into a habit of being positive in how you think, talk, and act.
