1. What is Art?

To me art is the expression of your inner creativity and how you choose to express yourself. On the surface to most art is probably a painting or a sculpture but art can be so much more. Art can be the expression of our words such as poetry or writing or story. Art is a love for something and becoming skilled and crafted at it, such as the art of becoming a singer or a mother. I believe anything and everything you are passionate about can be considered an art. Art is one of the things that makes us as complex and well-rounded as human beings. I also feel like art is a part of our everyday lives as well. The shoes on our feet were carefully crafted by someone who had a vision and brought that vision or art to life. Something as simple as how we comb our hair in the morning is an art. So I personally believe that art is very subjective in the sense that it means something different to everybody and there really is not right or wrong definition for it.

2. How is Art significant to you?

Art is significant to me because I never realized how you can discover art in everyday life in every aspect of life. No matter your background, culture, or social status art is something that anyway can relate to. I believe that art cuts across all barriers of life. It is one of the few things in life that is universal that anyone can understand even if some people interpret it different. Art provides the opportunity for self-expression and I think this is very important.

3. How does Art figure into your life?

Art figures into my life on an everyday basis. At my job I work in customer service and I definitely feel like this is an art. There is an art to dealing with people and solving customer’s problems. I use the art of my voice and people skills to make sure that every customer has a pleasant experience with me. I also feel like there is an art to being a parent as well. In my opinion...
