CASE STUDY OF ELEKTRA PRODCTS INC.

Elektra products is 80yrs old company which was once the leading manufacturer and retailer of electrical products and supplies whose manufacturing vice president was BARBARA RUSSEL.

But due to that time scenarion i.e., increase in foreign and domestic competion the market shares of that company goes down.

MARTIN GRIFFIN was newly hired CEO to revive the failing company. He was hired to give born to hope, to manage, to revive and to motivate.

Then MARTIN GRIFFIN starts to motivate the employees of company in the meeting with a challenge to revive the company. He energises the staff with a new spirit of enthusiasm to regain the previous status of the company.

Later on Martin organized a meeting in which employees were going to present their progress reports to their heads, but the meeting was lapsed as Martin was absent and he made a excuse to himself because of late breaking deal with a major hardware chain and then the conflicts goes on which ultimately leads to lack of communication between different departments of company and which at last again leads the company to downfall.

PROBLEMS FACED:-

* Due to increase in foreign and domestic competion their market share was declining.

* Lack of new and innovative product ideas.

* No co-ordination and co-operation between different departments.

* Moral was very low at every stage.

* Employees starts searching for new jobs.

* Work wasn’t going in planned and organized way.

* There were no hope and self confidence, employees needed a dose of hope to move on.
