Reflection Paper

The final assignment in Marketing class created great opportunity for me to apply what I learn from class and help develop my communication skill with teammate. Our group was chose to create a marketing plan in which the goal was to raise $50,000 for the scholarship. This scholarship was created to honor Professor Armando Alcazar who devoted 25+ years of his life to the University of Charleston. In order to vest this scholarship, our target market was alumni who have had Alcazar as a professor.

First, I have to say I really did enjoy working on this assignment, because like I mentioned before, this assignment create a opportunity for me to apply what I learn in real life situation. In addition, I built a solid relationship with classmate and listen to different perspective. This final project could have been done by individual; however, the individual effort could never compare to group effort. This is one of the strength of working in group environment. Different people have different idea and sometime they are polar different. However, we have only want goal so people with different Idea have to work together and compromise each other Idea to come up with the ultimate method. I am also in Organization Behavior course this semester, this was a big advantage for myself in term of keep the group work together in harmony.

During the time we were working on this project, there are some obstacles which we must find the solution to achieve our goal. First, this is different from the first project, which is selling a product. If selling the products, we will have the template of exactly what was taught in class. On the other hand, this was marketing seeking for donation to fund a scholarship. This is harder for our team and specially for me when we come to brain storm step by step.
